What SpindMed® Patients are Saying
Great News! My back is significantly better! WOW! No achy or anything! The best is yet to come! I know it! Thank goodness for you guys! It was meant to be that I'm there!
A milestone... I was at an event last night downtown and not only could I walk to the event, I stood for 4 hours. My back was perfect. And I stood on both legs without shifting side to side. AMAZING!
After the first visit I didn't feel any pain or achiness like I usually do. I thought it was maybe a placebo effect. But then I woke up the next morning and the pain was still gone!!! Incredible. I'm excited for my next treatment.
SpineMed® FAQs
Experience the transformative power of the SpineMED System, the most advanced non-surgical solution for alleviating back and neck pain caused by herniated or degenerated discs, sciatica, and other spinal conditions.
Is SpineMED® decompression for me?
SpineMED® is a safe and effective treatment for most people experiencing disc-related issues, such as herniated or bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, and spinal stenosis. However, it may not be suitable for those with certain conditions that affect the integrity of the spine, like severe osteoporosis, advanced spondylolisthesis, fractures, or tumors. Additionally, if you have had previous spinal surgery with implanted hardware, SpineMED® may not be appropriate. Your healthcare provider will assess your condition and determine if SpineMED® is the right choice for you.
How does SpineMED® decompression work?
SpineMED® decompression works by gently and precisely distracting (stretching) the affected spinal segments, reducing pressure inside the discs. This negative pressure creates a vacuum-like effect, which helps to pull bulging or herniated disc material back into place. The reduced pressure also allows for the influx of nutrients, oxygen, and fluids into the disc, promoting healing and regeneration. Unlike traditional traction methods that use ropes and pulleys, SpineMED®’s patented system directly harnesses the patient to the machine, ensuring targeted and consistent decompression without slippage or excessive tension.
What's a SpineMED® session like?
During a SpineMED® session, you will remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on the treatment table. For lumbar (lower back) decompression, you will be secured to the table using patented pelvic restraints and an upper body harness. The table will then be electronically tilted to target the specific spinal segments requiring treatment. For cervical (neck) decompression, you will be positioned with your head in a specially designed cradle, and the cervical unit will be tilted to the appropriate angle. Each session typically lasts 30 minutes, during which you may experience a gentle stretching sensation. Most patients find the treatment to be pain-free and relaxing, with some even falling asleep during the procedure.
Why is SpineMED® better?
SpineMed® is a patented FDA cleared and approved pulling system! Reported to have at least a 90% success rate on treating disc issues. It is the newest third generation pulling system for the spine that does NOT use a rope and pulley system. Ropes and pulleys cause slippage and to much tension which can cause more harm. SpineMed® harnesses the patient directly to the machine to precisely and gently distract the disc at the specific location intended.
Is your SpineMed Decompression Therapy Painful?
There is a big misconception out there that decompression can be very painful by pulling you apart. This can happen depending on the machine! Many machines out there pull to hard and are not precise. SpineMed is the complete opposite in the fact that it is very gentle and precise. In fact once patients are on it they feel as though it is not turned on.
Who is NOT a candidate for SpineMed® decompression?
You ARE NOT a candidate for SpineMED® if you have:
- Instabilities of the spine, such as recent fractures
- Bilateral pars defects
- Gross osteoporosis
- Cancers or tumors of the spine
- Surgical hardware fixation (pins, screws, rods, etc…) in the region of the spine being targeted.
- Pregnancy
- Patients under the age of 15
- Disc fragmentation, calcification, severe arthritis and any surgical spinal appliances are all RELATIVE contraindications.
